Holiday Party and Fundraiser 2008 at Sayville Yacht Club

Thank you Everyone for a great time at our 2nd annual Holiday/Fundraiser party. We are so grateful to all of you for making our program a warm and accepting place for our children. Each and everyone of you IS the reason why we have a program. To all the behind the scenes helpers, BIG THANK YOU! It always takes many hands to run a party and a fundraiser. All of the proceeds from the fundraiser will go to expanding our program to include, yoga, kayaking, sailing lessons and surfing lessons. We also hope to increase the swimming as well.

Enjoy the pictures from our party, the resolution is not the greatest so I've attached the link to Kodak.

We wish you all a Happy, Healthy, and Peaceful New Year! I look forward to seeing you in 2009 and making it a FUN year!

HAPPY THANKSGIVING

HUGE THANKS to Helmut and Peggy Albrecht for taking some awesome pictures of our swim program.

Helmut and Peggy Albrecht are members of the Rotary Club of Moriches. The rotary club funds the insurance for our swim program.

To view pictures from our swim program at St. Joseph's College, please click on the following link: http://www.kodakgallery.com/ShareLanding.action?c=ngpcs08.4u6q7pg8&x=0&y=-843hn6&localeid=en_US

So far this year our program has been a great success especially with all the children that are taking swimming lessons. With continued support from our members and sponsors we hope to continue to offer free sports activities as well as individual lessons for select sports. We will be adding more sports as fund become available. Some sports we are looking to add are yoga, kayaking, surfing and sailing lessons.

We are always in need of funds and volunteers. Please join us for our Holiday Party and Fundraiser on December 20, 2008 at the beautiful Sayville Yacht club in Blue Point.

OCTOBER 21, 2008 - FIRST SWIM

Thank you all for your cooperation. Our first swim went very smoothly due to the patience of our parents and their awesome kids. Many had to sit through our health and safety video again and did very well.

It was so good seeing old friends and meeting new ones.

Just a reminder:
**Please remember that a parent must be in the pool area with a bathingsuit on.
**Our swim lessons are to encourage parents to observe and learn so that you can continue with the lessons after the session.
**Please remember to sign IN and OUT of St. Joseph's College building.
**If your child has a favorite pool toy, bring it with you.
**Our holiday party and fundraiser is December 20 at 6-9p.m. Tickets are suggested donation of $50 per family. We are in need of raffle prizes - please contact Judy Dicorscia at domjudydicorcia@aol.com or 631-786-4301. Flyer will be following soon. See blog archive January for pictures from last year's party.

Thank you all for your continued support.

It seems that our program is growing and with that we will need everyone's cooperation.

* If your child is able to go swimming first that would help with the wait time.
* If your child is able to go on the boat by themselves - please encourage them to do so.
* Please make sure everyone has had a chance to go on the boat before going on again.
* This Monday Joe will be attempting to give some instructions to children that are able to take instruction.
* If you need a volunteer to go with your child, please let me know as soon as you arrive.
* For the new families - please make sure you sign a photo and video release. See me.

Following is an opportunity to raise some funds for our program. We are looking to continue to offer swim lessons as well as sail lessons for the future. When you do order - please make sure you mention the Autism Swim and Sail program.
