I am happy to let you know about our group's ongoing events for our kids this summer:
Special Needs Karate - This is ongoing and takes place at Circle of One Karate, located at 545 Main Street in Islip. We currently have classes on Saturdays at 10:00 am, 11:00 am, 12:00 pm and 1:00 pm, and are working on getting classes on Wednesday evenings as well. Your child can participate at the significantly discounted rate of $50 a month. If you are interested, please contact Sensei Benny at Circle of One Karate, (631) 846-7867. Benny can set your child up for a free trial class to see which class will be the most appropriate for your child's needs. You may check them out and get directions on their website, circleofoneny.com.
Yoga - Our yoga classes will resume at the beginning of July. More details will follow as soon as we have the schedule ready.
Sailing - Our sailing program begins on Monday, July 6, and will run for eight to nine weeks. As always, the sailing program takes place at Sayville Yacht Club, on Monday evenings from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm. YOU MUST SIGN UP FOR THIS EVENT. If you are interested in signing up, or would like further information, please e-mail Linda Woods at lwoods@landandseasportsclub.org. She will be able to sign you up and send you all of the pertinent information/rules. Please note that if you are not already a registered member of our group, you MUST REGISTER before you can participate in the sailing program. Linda will be more than happy to send you a registration form.

SPECIAL EVENT DURING OUR SWIM
On February 8, 2009, during our swim program, Robert Cinnante, a representative from New York Life, will be offering FREE child ID kits. Below is a description of what it entails. This event is open to all. For specific questions, please e-mail or call Robert Cinnante directly (rcinnante@ft.newyorklife.com or (631) 391-2997).
Basically, the way it works, is that we gather the child's information as per the parent or guardian who is with them. We photograph, digitially fingerprint as well as measure height and weight. Within a few moments after we input, the ID prints out and we then laminate and cut to size.
This is a complimentary service that NY Life promotes. Many other comapnies charge for the service as well as sends it to you in the mail several weeks later. Our is given to the parent/guardian within 10 minutes after inputting the information.
Hope that all of you can make it to the swim program this Sunday, and will take advantage of this unique opportunity to get a free Child ID kit!

YOGA CLASSES
Yoga classes will be starting the week of January 12th for 8 week session. Each class will be 45 minutes. Please check the schedule over and sign up for a specific time. We will only have a class if 4 or more sign up for a specific time slot.
There is also a Saturday at 11:30 class that can be arranged in Port Jeff area if there is 4 or more people signed up.
The classes will be $10 per person, participation can be individual or with a parent. The fee can be paid weekly.
Please wear comfortable clothes. Mats will be provided but you can bring a towel if you want.
